To run the Ombudsman, you need a 486 or higher DOS compatible with a VGA display and OS2, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, or Windows NT; or a Power Macintosh or Macintosh 68030 or higher. 16 megabytes of RAM memory is required, but 32 megabytes is recommended (64mb for NT). A laser printer is also recommended; PostScript printers produce the best results. The program requires 10 megabytes of hard disk space for each workstation, and 10 to 100 megabytes of disk space for data. The Ombudsman can be used either as a single-user or a multi-user application, and can be run on any standard network (Novell Netware, AppleShare, Lantastic, etc.), including a mixed PC and Macintosh network. Peer-to-peer networks (including Windows 95 built-in networking) are in use by customers, but are not recommended and are unsupported.
